featuring antique bell concert (August)
- Pordenone: Virgin Mary's Birthday (September)
Historical Re-enactment of the Turkish Invasion (last Sunday in
September)
Costumed Kangaroo Court (February)
- Tarcento: Pignarul Giant Bonfire Festival (January)

- Porcia: Historical Re-enactment of Charlemagne's
Arrival in the City, with a costumed parade around the castle and a
donkey race (August)
Christmas pageants are always extra special in
snowy mountain hamlets. Here are some of the best:
- Alesso: Twenty Year Festival (December)
- Resia, Cicigolis (Pulfero): La Koleda (December)
- Sauris, Cicigolis, Cave del Predi: Star Festival
- Paularo: La Femenate Bonfire (January)

Another noteworthy local tradition are the
krampus festivities held in December in many towns of the
Carnia Valley, featuring fascinating handcrafted masks symbolizing the
twelve faces of the devil.
