Castello di Monterado
EXPLORE LE MARCHE Orlando and Kira Rodano took great pleasure in opening up their castle with a friendly flair. This ancient residence in Le Marche has a long history of princes and nobles, power and loves, times of war and periods of religious calm.
The imposing medieval structure sits atop a typical Le Marche hill offering an evocative panorama from the sea to the Apennine peaks. The typical Italian garden is shaded by centuries old gigantic cedars. Inside, the spacious reception rooms and lounges have wooden or stone floors, 8th century frescoes and period furniture.
The four suites are all individually designed, each with a luxurious contemporary bathroom. After a hearty breakfast at the ‘table d’hôtes’ the castle is your starting point to explore the history and nature of Le Marche or to take a refreshing swim at a nearby beach. On your return you can once again breathe in the emotion of the castle’s grand past.
