Beautiful residences with oriels and stone archways and manor-like farmhouses. Colorful house facades, quiet
village wells and winding streets in a southern light. All around softly ascending vineyards. The wide and hilly
vineyard scenery with cypress trees breathes the fragrance and colors of the south. Just as the people who live

The village's landmark is the Gothic parish church. The bell tower is more than 80 meters high and it's the highest
stonewall bell tower in South Tyrol. The Roman church of St. Jakob in Kastelaz above Tramin houses a cycle of frescoes,
which are one of the oldest in the entire German-speaking area.
