Folgaria - Lavarone
The Folgaria and Lavarone plateau, boasting a ski carrousel known as
Skitour dei Forti, is a top class ski area in South Western Trentino, ranking first in
the nation-wide classification published by Touring Club Italiano, based both on the
quality of facilities and of the environment. The resort is set amongst wide views and
landscapes, ranging from the Brenta Dolomites to the Pasubio Massifs, from the Adamello
range to the Marmolada.
Geography
At only 18 km from the Rovereto Nord motorway exit (A22 Brennero motorway),
the Folgaria and Lavarone plateau is easily reached from Val d’Adige and from the nearby
Veneto. At Folgaria the Costa, Francolini, Fondo Piccolo, Fondo Grande, Malga Ortesino and
Serrada areas are linked by a network of slopes and lift facilities. In the same way, at
Lavarone, the Bertoldi, Tablat and Malga Rivetta facilities.

Snow offers
"Ski Tour dei Forti" - 76 km slopes with artificial snow making technology
served by new last-generation lifts carry 40.800 people/hour up on the perfectly prepared
slopes totally equipped with snow-making equipment. Such slopes as the brand new Tòl di
Serrada and the traditional Salizzona di Fondo Grande are the feather in the cap of the
ski area.
After-ski
Folgaria and Lavarone are also renowned for featuring a wide array of
cross-country ski facilities. There are three perfectly equipped centers in this area,
namely the Millegrobbe center (35 km slopes on the Lavarone plateau, it has been home to
the homonymous International Cross country race for over twenty years) as well as the Forte
Cherle center (12 km slopes) and the recently renovated Passo Coe center on the Folgaria
plateau 35 km slopes – where, in 1997, took place the World Master Cup.

Accommodations
Folgaria, Lavarone and the close linguistic island of Luserna
(german-cimbra) has a capacity of 25000 accommodations. The resorts boast a consolidated
touristic tradition, both winter and summer, to found on 70 Hotel from 2 to 4 stars, garnì,
residences , B&B , Camping and, in addition, a reach equipment of private apartments.
